Mr. Dallas Brooks Cook, age 83, of Blountstown, FL passed away early Saturday morning, August 23, 2014 in Blountstown.
Brooks was born in Calhoun County on July 18, 1931 and had lived here all of his life. He was a retired Paper Maker with St. Joe Paper Company with 39 years of service. He was a member of the Grumpy Old Men’s Club and served in several positions in his Church. Brooks was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruby (Bryant) Cook, two brothers, Edward Cook and Max Cook, sister, Margaret Burch. Brooks was a member of the Bristol Pentecostal Holiness Church in Bristol, FL.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 25, 2014 at 3:00 pm (CDT) at the Bristol Pentecostal Holiness Church with Reverend Coy Collins and Reverend David Goodman officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery in Blountstown. The family will receive friends Monday, August 25, 2014 from 2:00 pm (CDT) until service time at 3:00 pm (CDT) at the Bristol Pentecostal Holiness Church. The family request in Lieu of flowers contributions be made to Covenant Hospice, 4215 Kelson Ave. Suite E, Marianna, FL 32446. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
