Mr. Jimmy M. Godwin, Sr., 67, of Hosford, Florida, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014, in Blountstown, Florida.
Mr. Godwin was a heavy equipment operator by trade. He had lived in Hosford since 1987, coming from Indiantown, Florida. Jimmy was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Darlene Godwin.
Survivors include his wife, Dianne Godwin, of Hosford; two sons, Jimmy Godwin, Jr., and his wife, Teresa, of Tallahassee, Florida, and Kenny Godwin, of Hosford; one step-son, Eddie Linsey, of Hosford; one daughter, Kimberly Godwin, of Hosford; one step-daughter, Stacie Tharpe, and her husband, Chris, of Hosford; two brothers, Johnny Godwin, and his wife, Teresa, of Tennessee, and Howard Godwin, Sr., and his wife, Sherleen, of Tennessee; two sisters, Betty Harmon, and her husband, Bud, of South Carolina, and Beverly Plate, and her husband, Kent, of Tennessee; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM (EDT) Thursday, August 14, at Corinth Baptist Church in Hosford with the Reverend Kyle Peddie officiating. Interment will follow at Sanders Cemetery in Hosford. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM (EDT) on Thursday, August 14, at Corinth Baptist Church.
