Myrtle Damaris Russell, 79, of Blountstown, Florida, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014, in Blountstown.
She was born in Bristol, Florida, November 19, 1934, to the late Thomas Henry and Rita Mae (Preacher) Moses, but lived in Blountstown most of her life. Myrtle was a graduate of Liberty County High School and was a bookkeeper for Liberty County Emergency Medical Service for many years. She was a member of Bristol First Baptist Church and her favorite pastime was camping with her Fort Wilderness friends at Disney.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charley Preston Russell.
Survivors include her son, Edward Russell, of Bristol; her daughter, Rita Lewis, also of Bristol; her grandson, Christopher Summers; her sister-in-law, Mary Nell
Black, of Fountain, Florida; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
