Ray Harrison Tatum, 64, of Marianna died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at his residence. He was a loving husband and wonderful father and PaPa. He thoroughly enjoyed teaching Sunday school and gardening as well as tinkering in his shop.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Margie Joylynn Engerer; father, William Lloyd Tatum, Sr; and stepfather, Clarence Fredrick Engerer.

Mr. Tatum is survived by his wife Darlene Tatum; four children, Heather Tatum, John Tatum, Melissa McWaters, and Susan Tatum, all from Jackson County; and one grandson, Samuel James Keel; two brothers, Lloyd Tatum of Calhoun County and Hank Tatum of Pennsylvania.

The family would like to thank the staff at Emerald Coast Hospice and DaVita Dialysis Center in Marianna for their excellent care and attention during his illness.

Funeral services were held at 2 pm, Friday, July 18, 2014 at Traveler's Rest Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Sean Williams officiating. Burial followed in
Hasty Pond Baptist Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
