Iris Eubanks, 82, of Bristol, Florida, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014, in Tallahassee, Florida.

Ms. Iris was born August 15, 1931, in Bristol to the late Lee Decar and Bernice Vera (Strickland) Duggar. She retired from Hosford School after teaching kindergarten for thirty-one years. She loved children, especially her grandchild and great-grandchild. She also enjoyed cheering for Hosford School sports, Liberty County High School football, and Florida State University football. She was an avid gardener and painter and also enjoyed finding her family heritage through genealogy. She was a member of Bristol Pentecostal Holiness Church and shared the love of the First Christian Church with her husband.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Wilhoit ‘Fiddler’ Eubanks; and her two sons, Bertus Lee Eubanks and Jerome “Todd” Eubanks.

Survivors include her daughter, Jeanine Eubanks Revell, and her husband, Ricky, of Bristol; her grandchild, James Lee Eubanks Revell, and his wife, Haylee, also of Bristol, and her grandchild, Addison Revell; her special caretaker, Danielle Tony. She truly loved all of her extended family, the Duggars, the Stricklands, and the Eubanks.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. ET, Wednesday, July 16, from the Bristol Pentecostal Holiness Church with Reverend Coy Collins, Les Brown, and Allen Mathis officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Mystic Cemetery. The family received friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. ET, Tuesday, July 15, at Bristol Pentecostal Holiness Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Liberty County Athletics, P. O. Box 519, Bristol, FL 34321 or Hosford Elementary School, 16864 NE SR 65, Hosford, FL 32334.

Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements (ph. 850-674-5449) and you may offer the family condolences at adamsfh.com.
