The Benders travel ball team is taking on Cooperstown, New York, this week!
The Benders played two games on Sunday, defeating the Brighton Bulldogs from Illinois 29-5 and fell to the Hydropool Heaters from Canada 6-5 in 8 innings (regulation is 6 innings). On Monday, the Benders defeated Warren Blue Devils Gold from Illinois 18-10. As of press time Tuesday morning, the Benders were 2-1 with 3 more pool play games remaining. Single elimination tournament will begin Wednesday.
There are 104 teams in the tournament. J.T. Andrews of the Benders had hit 7 homeruns in 9 at bats as of Tuesday morning. The Cooperstown record is 18 in a week.
