Mr. James “Douglas” Galloway, age 73, went to be with the Lord on June 13, 2014.
He had a passion for fishing and compassion for his fellow man. He was known as a man with a big heart. He retired as MSGT in the United States Air Force, serving in the Vietnam War. He moved to Calhoun County in 1994. He was a member of the Altha Church of God and loved his church. He is preceded in death by his parents Mona and Arie Galloway of Sampson, AL, two brothers, Charlie Galloway and Roy Galloway, one sister, Mary Reed all of Enterprise, AL. Douglas is survived by his wife, Brenda Galloway of Altha, FL

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 11:00 am (CDT) at the Altha Church of God with Reverend Allan Nichols and Reverend Dwayne Tolbert officiating. Interment will follow in Sunny Hill Community Cemetery near Altha. The family will receive friends Monday, June 16, 2014 from 6:00 pm (CDT) until 8:00 pm (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
