Milk Products (Low Fat 1% and Fat Free Unflavored, Fat Free Flavored-Chocolate and Strawberry) for use in the school cafeterias for the bid period of July 1, 2014 – June 30, 2015.
Bread Products (Whole Grain Rich hamburger buns, wiener buns, sub buns and sandwich loafs) for use in the school cafeterias for the bid period of July 1, 2014 – June 30, 2015.
Any additional information or bid forms required may be obtained at the Office of the Superintendent, 20859 Central Avenue East, RM-G20, Blountstown, Florida 32424. Each bidder submitting a bid must use bid forms, otherwise bids will not be considered.
Any bid submitted after the specified hour and date will not be opened or considered. The Board accepts no responsibility for mailed proposals that arrive at the Superintendent’s Office after the above stated time even though the envelope may reflect a postmark prior to the above stated date.
The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. The decision of the Board will be final. No bid may be withdrawn by any bidder for a period of thirty (30) days after bids are opened.

SILAS GREEN STREET RESURFACING
This project consists of roadway widening and resurfacing, culvert replacement, and concrete mitered end construction.
Plans and specifications can be obtained at Preble-Rish, Inc., 20684 Central Avenue East, Blountstown, Florida 32424, (850) 674-3300. (For questions, please call Donald Stanley P.E. at (850) 643-6622 or at stanleyd@preble-rish.com). The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, on public entity crimes.
Completion date for this project will be 60 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder.
All bidders shall be pre-qualified with the Florida Department of Transportation per Section 2-1 of the F.D.O.T. Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2014 edition for: Flexible Paving, Hot Plant Mixed Bituminous Courses, Grading, Drainage and Grassing, Seeding and Sodding.
Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $200.00 per day.

The Calhoun Board of County Commissioners will accept sealed re-submitted bids on behalf of its State Housing Initiatives Partnership “SHIP” Program until 12:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, June 3, 2014. Bids may be delivered to the Clerk’s Office in the Calhoun County Courthouse, Blountstown, Florida 32424. Bids must arrive before deadline. Bids will be opened at 6:00 p.m. or as soon afterwards as possible. Bids must be sealed in an envelope marked “sealed bid for ship rehab” and identified by the name of the firm, and the date and time of the bid opening.
A mandatory pre-bid conference was held on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at 9:00 a.m. local time in room 313 in the Calhoun County Building Department located on the 3rd floor of the Calhoun County Courthouse. Bid sheets and specifications were available at the meeting. It is the responsibility of the contractor to purchase all permits deemed necessary. Bidders must provide proof of general liability and workman’s compensation insurance in the bid package. The insurance must be in force at the time of the bid opening. As an alternative to providing workman’s compensation insurance, the prospective bidder shall provide proof of worker’s compensation exemption. Any person claiming to be exempt shall be subject to an on-the-job inspection for proof of exemption and license of all workers on job site. Copies of all contracting licenses must also be included in the bid package.
Only the contractors that submitted bids on May 20, 2014 may re-submit bids.
