The Tigers picked up two more wins last week while dropping one, improving their record to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in district play.
On Tuesday, the Tigers traveled to Graceville and faced one of the best left handed pitchers in the area. The Tigers fell short in this one by a score of 4-0. The Tigers only managed one infield hit by Dylan Lee. Colby Mullins started on the mound for the Tigers going four innings striking out eight and allowing two hits. Lee threw the final two innings striking out five and giving up two hits.
On Thursday, the Tigers hosted the Vernon Yellow Jackets. The Tigers picked up a 10-7 victory. Hunter Jordan started on the mound going four innings striking out four and giving up one hit. Chasen Roulhac came in relief going the final three innings striking out three and allowing three hits. Jordan led the charge offensively going 3-4 at the plate. Colby Mullins went 2-4 with a two run home-run.
On Friday night, the Tigers traveled to Altha and picked up an 11-8 win. Dylan Lee started on the mound going four innings allowing six hits and struck out four. Ridge Dietz pitched the final 2 2/3 innings picking up the save allowing one hit and striking out three. Hunter Jordan was 3-4 offensively, while Derek Eberly, Ridge Dietz, and Tanner Peacock all had two hits each. Colby Mullins added another two-run home-run.
The JV Tigers picked up two more wins improving to a 6-1 record with wins over Graceville 18-0, and Vernon 19-1.
The Tigers travel to Chipley today at 3:30CST for a varsity game and Sneads tomorrow for a JV/Varsity game beginning at 4:00CST and 6:00CST pm. Home to see you at the games. GO TIGERS!!
