Black History Month is underway with two big events over the weekend. The annual Black History Parade was held Saturday morning in downtown Blountstown, followed by a festival at Clay Mary Historical Site on River Street.
Festivities continue next weekend with the Black History Banquet set for Friday, Feb. 28, at the W. T. Neal Civic Center at 7 p.m. Dress is semi formal/formal attire. Cost is a donation of $15 single, $25 couple, $10 (ages 10-15), $5 (ages 4-9), free (3 and under), $100 Corporate (10). Contact Apostle G. B.
