Mr. Clyde W. Cooley, 81 of Grand Ridge, FL, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2009, at his home.

Clyde was born November 28, 1927, in Jackson County and had lived there since 1971, coming from Honeyville, FL. He was a retired machinist with St. Joe Paper Company with 43 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith.

Clyde was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Theall.

Survivors include his wife, Annie (Hazel) Cooley, of Grand Ridge; two sons, Walter (Chris) Cooley and David Cooley both of Grand Ridge; three daughters, Margaret Forehand and her husband, Steve, of Grand Ridge, Nita Watson and Joe of Bonifay, Clydette Maitland and her husband, Bob, of Davisboro, GA; a son-in-law, Chuck Theall, of Grand Ridge; one brother, Tommy Cooley, and his wife, Cindy, of Grand Ridge; one sister, Annette Altenburg, and her husband, Neil, of Wisconsin; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m. from the graveside at Herndon Cemetery in Clarksville with Rev. Glenn Davis and Rev. Dallas Presley officiating. Interment followed.

All arrangements were under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown (ph. 850-674-2266).
