Lucille Hansford Mims, born in 1920, recently passed away.
Lucille was born in Pensacola, FL, and lived a portion of her life in Altha, FL, before returning to Pensacola. She was a member of Gonzalez Baptist Church.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and she is fondly remembered by her family and friends as making the best chicken and dumplings. Lucille retired from Monsanto after 27 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charlie F. Hansford, and a grandson, Jeffery David Hansford.
Lucille is survived by her loving husband, Henry Mims; sons, Frank Hansford (Carleen), David Hansford (Celine), Steve Mims (Leorah), Michael Mims and
Lanice Carol Rosebrough; grandchildren, Frankie Hansford, Lorri and Mac Seibert, Druhan Hansford, Sarah and Mary Hansford, Becky, Lonnie and Michael Mims and Lisa Hitchcock; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, J.W. Mills; sister, Audrey Westbrook and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 2, at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North. Interment followed Monday, February 3, at Bayview Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Hospice of West Florida Hospital or Gonzalez Baptist Church.
