Dewey Ralph Smith, 64, of Blountstown, Florida, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013, in Tallahassee, Florida.
He was born in Montgomery, Alabama, November 1, 1949, to the late George Dewey and Hazel (Melvin) Smith. Ralph was a vocational instructor for the Florida Department of Corrections. He was a member of Travelers Rest Free Will Baptist Church in Clarksville, Florida.
He is survived by his son, Ralph Smith, Jr., of Blountstown; daughter, Tina Will Faust, of Dawson, Georgia; three grandchildren, Ashley Maddison Faust, William Tyler Faust, and Jordan Tate Faust; brothers, Tim Smith and wife, Becky, of Clarksville, Sammy Smith and wife, Tanya, of Blountstown, and John Smith and wife, Jennifer, of Clarksville; sisters, Brenda Williams and husband, Johnny, of Tallahassee, Frances Smith of Clarksville, and Hilda Willis of Blountstown; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 4 at Adams Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 5, at Travelers Rest Free Will Baptist Church with Dr. Shawn Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Travelers Rest Cemetery.
