David Alan Hunter, 63, of Scotts Ferry passed away, Monday, May 18, 2009, in Scotts Ferry.

Mr. Hunter was retired chief master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force serving in the Vietnam and Korean conflict. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW and also chief of the Scotts Ferry Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Hunter, of Scotts Ferry; two sons, Philip Glen Kochel and his wife, Savannah, of San Antonio, Texas, and Jeffery Hunter of Phoenix, Arizona; two daughters, Linda Hunter of Salt Lake City, Utah and Semantha Jean Hunter of Scotts Ferry; his mother, Jewell Hunter, of Manchester, Ohio; two brothers, Dennis Hunter of New Mexico and Jim Hunter of California; three sisters, Judy Zornes of Independence, Kentucky, Carol Edmunds of Virginia, and Barbara Lugowski of Flagstaff, Arizona.

A Celebration of Life service was held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 25, in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bob Bellman and Reverend John Kramer officiating. Interment followed in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2619 Centennial Boulevard, Suite 101, Tallahassee, Florida 32308.
