A woman who allegedly cut a witness in a criminal case has been arrested.
Jennifer Beckwith, 42, of Bristol, is charged with aggravated battery and tampering with or harassing a witness. Tristan Lemel Martin, 25, of Bristol, is also charged with tampering with a witness, as well as battery.
According to the Blountstown Police Department, Ofc. John Shuler responded to a disturbance at an Azalea Drive home just after 5:30 p.m.
Sept. 27. A man in the home alleged Beckwith, along with Tristan Martin and an unknown male, arrived about two hours earlier and were yelling at him. He further alleged Beckwith began cutting him with a tool that resembled a box cutter. He reported Martin attempted to hit him while Beckwith was cutting him. The man said he broke away and the trio left the area.
Ofc. Shuler photographed numerous small cuts to the man’s knuckles and tops of his hands, as well as two small cuts to the chin and side of his face.
The man is reportedly a witness in an active criminal case against Martin in Liberty County.
