Second Amendment advocates are rallying behind Liberty County Sheriff Nick Finch after his arrest and suspension last week for official misconduct.
A “Support for Liberty County Sheriff Nick Finch” Facebook page was launched late Thursday night and had over 3600 likes as of press time Tuesday morning. The site wound up attracting The KrisAnne Hall Show that featured Finch in a radio interview Monday. The Save America Foundation is also lending support, as well as a group known as “Guns N Freedom.”
Supporters have organized a rally for Finch Friday, June 14, in Tallahassee in the courtyard between the old and new State Capitol Buildings. According to the information posted on the Facebook page, the Libertarian Party of Florida will host the event with Finch speaking. Other speakers will include Alex Snitker, Paul Henry, Chris Hall, Adrian Wyllie, and more to be announced soon.
Gov. Rick Scott will be formally invited to speak at the rally. The public is invited to attend.
One of the most outspoken supporters has been Libertarian Gubernatorial candidate Adrian Wyllie.
“Rick Scott’s actions border on treason, and he must be held accountable. I’m going to see to it that he is,” said Wyllie, referring to Scott’s decision to remove and arrest Liberty County Sheriff Nicholas Finch. “This is clearly politically motivated, and another example of abuse of power by Mr. Scott.”
