Ryan Hathcox, who graduated from Blountstown High School last week, has been selected as the Florida Dairy Farmers 2013 Mr. Weightlifting.
Ryan won the Class 1A, 183 pound weight class with a total weight of 715 pounds, winning his class by the largest margin (75 pounds) of any competitor in any class at this year’s state championships. Ryan posted a bench press mark of 390 pounds, more than twice his body weight and added a 324 pound clean and jerk en route to claiming his second state title.
Ryan is shown above in the BHS Weight Room. He is standing behind the bench that he used to train. He is wearing three state championship rings, several medallions won in competition and is holding a trophy and plaque awarded to him by the Florida Dairy Farmers.
