The Tigers finished up spring practice with a game against Liberty County in the jamboree. The Tigers showed some promise for the fall, but have miles to go to be the kind of team we want to be.
Offensively, we moved the ball, but killed drives with penalties and botched snaps. We were experimenting at the center position this spring. We moved Tommy Futch out to tackle - he was our center last season. We played two kids at center that had their first varsity experience.
Defensively, I thought we played pretty well for the most part. We tackled well in open field and did not give up any big plays. We also had several players out this spring that we will hopefully have back in the fall. Starters Tripp Taylor, Javakiel Brigham and Dylan Lee did not see action due to injury.
We start summer workouts June 10th in preparation for the upcoming season. The players will be working hard all summer! GO, TIGERS!!!
