The City of Blountstown will receive Letters of Interest from any qualified engineering firm interested in providing the requested services for the following project:

CONSTRUCTION AND INSPECTION SERVICES RELATED TO THE PAINTING OF A 150,000 GALLON ELEVATED STEEL WATER TOWER TO INCLUDE WRITING THE PAINTING SPECIFICATIONS

The Proposer’s Checklist can be obtained at Blountstown City Hall, 20591 Central Avenue West, Blountstown, FL 32424, (850) 674-5488. .

Letters of interest will be received until 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time, on Friday, May 3, 2013, at the City of Blountstown City Hall, 20591 Central Avenue West, Blountstown, Florida 32424. PUBLIC NOTICE

Datapath Towers LLC proposes to construct a 340-foot guyed-type (345-foot overall height with appurtenances) telecommunications structure. The tower would be located off U.S. Forest Road No. 181, Sumatra, Liberty County, Florida, at approximate coordinates 30-01-40.7 N, 84-58-28.2 W. The tower is anticipated to have FAA Style E-1 style lighting.

Datapath Towers LLC invites comments from any interested party on the impact the proposed undertaking may have on any districts, sites, buildings, structures or objects significant in American history, archaeology, engineering, or culture that are listed or determined eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. Comments pertaining specifically to historic resources may be sent to Environmental Corporation of America, ATTN: Dina Bazzill, 1375 Union Hill Industrial Court, Suite A, Alpharetta, Georgia 30004. Ms. Bazzill can be reached at (770) 667-2040 ext. 111. Comments must be received within 30 days of the date of this notice.

In addition, any interested party may also request further environmental review of the proposed action by notifying the FCC of the specific reasons that the action may have a significant impact on the quality of the human environment pursuant to 47 CFR Section 1,1307. This request must only raise environmental concerns and can be filed online using the FCC pleadings system or mailed to FCC Requests for Environmental Review, Attn: Ramon Williams, 445 12th Street SW, Washington, DC 20554 within 30 days of the date that this notice is published. Instruction for filing an online Request for Environmental Review can be found at www.fcc.gov/asr/environmentalrequest. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners in and for Calhoun County, Florida, will consider a proposed Ordinance to be titled as follows:
AN ORDINANCE BY THE CALHOUN COUNTY COMMISSION AMENDING THE CALHOUN COUNTY, FLORIDA CODE OF ORDINANCES TO REPEAL THE CALHOUN COUNTY, FLORIDA ORDINANCE # 95-04 FLOOD DAMAGE PREVENTION ORDINANCE; TO ADOPT A NEW CALHOUN COUNTY, FLORIDA FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT ORDINANCE; TO ADOPT FLOOD HAZARD MAPS, TO DESIGNATE A FLOODPLAIN ADMINISTRATOR, TO ADOPT PROCEDURES AND CRITERIA FOR DEVELOPMENT IN FLOOD HAZARD AREAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES; TO ADOPT LOCAL ADMINISTRATIVE AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE; PROVIDING FOR APPLICABILITY; REPEALER; SEVERABILITY; AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.


The passage of the proposed Ordinance will be considered by the Board of County Commissioners, at their regular meeting at 1:30 P. M., C.S.T., on Tuesday, the 7th day of May, 2013, at the Blountstown High School, Blountstown, Florida.

A copy of the proposed Ordinance can be inspected by the public at the County Commissioners’ Office in the Calhoun County Courthouse.

All interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed Ordinance.

BID OPENING:

Bids will be opened and recorded by the Calhoun County Board of County Commissioners on May 7, 2013 at 1:30 P.M. (CT).

Specifications and General Conditions may be obtained from the Emergency Management Office between the hours of 7:00 A.M. (CT) and 4:00 P.M (CT) Monday through Friday. NOTICE TO RECEIVE SEALED BIDS

The Calhoun County Board of County Commissioners will receive sealed bids from any qualified person, company or corporation interested in constructing:

CALHOUN COUNTY CATALYST SITE PHASE I

Plans and specifications can be obtained at Preble-Rish, Inc., 20684 Central Avenue East, Blountstown, FL 32424, (850) 674-3300. The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, on public entity crimes.

This project consists of site grading and pond excavation.

Completion date for these projects will be 200 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder.

Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $200.00 per day.

Please indicate on the envelope that this is a sealed bid, the bid number and what the bid is for.

Bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. (C.T.), on Tuesday, May 6, 2013, at the Calhoun County Clerk’s Office, Calhoun County Courthouse, 20859 Central Avenue East, Room 130, Blountstown, Florida 32424, and will be opened and read aloud on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at 1:30 p.m.(C.T.).

Cost for Plans and Specifications will be $50.00 per set and is non-refundable. Checks should be made payable to PREBLE-RISH, INC.

The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid, to accept and/or reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in their judgment will be in the best interest of Calhoun County.
