A Blountstown woman awoke to find a man in her bed Friday night.
Jorge Zuniga-Moreno, 33, has been charged with battery.
According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Dep. Barbara Bodiford and Dep. John Scheetz responded to a call on Hickory Street regarding an intoxicated male who allegedly broke into a neighbor’s home. A woman was found at the end of her driveway armed with a baseball bat. Moreno was standing in her yard. The woman said she told him to leave repeatedly and accused him of going to a neighbor’s home where he allegedly committed battery.
Authorities contacted a woman on nearby Magnolia Street who alleged she awoke at 11:45 p.m. to find Moreno in her bed with his hands in her pants, attempting to take off her clothes. The woman said she pushed Moreno away from her and he struck her in the face. She managed to push him out of her house, but alleged he continued beating on her windows and doors.
The woman further stated she dated Moreno two years prior and that he periodically shows up uninvited.
Moreno was booked into the Calhoun County Jail.
