Blountstown High School is “over its head” in preparation for their spring musical, Disney’s The Little Mermaid.
In a magical kingdom fathoms below, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father King Triton, make a deal with the wicked Ursula and convince Price Eric that she’s the girl with the enchanting voice.
Starring as “Ariel” is Brittany Bailey, Casey Johnson is “Prince Eric”. Aaron Boyd is “King Triton”, Seth Alderman is “Sebastian”, Kelly Dunn is “Flounder”, Shantel Barrett is “Scuttle the Seagull.” Jordan Hatcher is the wicked “Ursula” with Savannah Taylor and Jessie West as her evil sidekicks, “Flotsom” and “Jetsom”. Calen Masai is “Grimbsy” and Jennifer Yon is “Carlotta”. Kyle Smith is “Chef Louis”, Kyle Todd will be the “Captain” and Walker Strawn will serve as the “Pilot”. The “Mersisters” are Emily Childress, Aelon Dykes, Sarah Liffick, Sarah McCausland, Bre Pybus, Desiree’ Roney and Nikkia White. In her final production, Kayla Campbell will again serve as Stage Manager. The BHS Choir will round out the cast with singers and dancers.
LITTLE MERMAID will be Thursday and Friday, May 2nd and 3rd, at the BHS Auditorium. Show time is 6:30 p.m. Admission is $5.00 adults and $3.00 students and children over the age of two.
