An investigation into a Bristol man’s stolen debit card has led to the arrest of a man and woman from Blountstown.
Mario Sanchez Faulk, 33, and Laporshae Shavon Engram, 24, were arrested this week for fraudulent use of a credit card.
According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, a Bristol man reported he last used his debit card at a Liberty County gas station March 2 and had not been able to locate the card since that time. However, he noticed several transactions after that date on his account. These included two purchases totalling over $130 at Blountstown convenience stores, cell phone expenses, plus a shopping spree at several online stores.
It was the online purchases with a Blountstown shipping address that led Lt. Jared Nichols to Engram’s door. Faulk was identified through one of his convenience store trips. His mother confirmed she was with her son when he attempted to use a card at one Blountstown store, but the business owner demanded identification which Faulk could not provide.
