“Moonlight Market” Mar. 21 downtown; free booth spaces

Blountstown Main Street is gearing up for the next Moonlight Market downtown set for Thursday, March 21, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Booth spaces are completely free, but food vendors must declare their menu in advance as only one vendor will be allowed per food item. For instance, if you are selling hot dogs and the first to sign up, no other vendor will be allowed to sell hot dogs that night. This will give every vendor an opportunity to do well at the event. Because we do have vendors selling for a profit, we ask that no one offer give away food and beverage items as this competes with vendors.

The fun kicks off with a public safety parade at 5 p.m. featuring local law enforcement officers, firefighters from across the county, correctional officers and emergency medical service workers. These public servants are invited to come out in uniform and march from the M & B train to the redlight on North Pear as community members line the sidewalks to show appreciation for all you do on a daily basis.

Once the parade has ended, the competition begins! Each of the public safety agencies are invited to enter the “Battle of the Barbecues” to determine the champion grillers!

Great fun, food and entertainment is in store, along with a visit from the Easter Bunny!

Vendors selling arts, crafts, and other merchandise, along with food, are invited to enter a free booth.

Call Kelli at 447-2765 to sign up for a space.
