Mrs. Judy Jemison Adkins, 52, of Altha, passed away September 23, 2009, at her home in Altha.

She was born in Altha on January 23, 1957, and had lived there most of her life. She, along with her husband, Buddy, were former business owners of B & J Land Clearing of Altha. She attended Rivertown Community Church in Blountstown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Groce Elbert and Mary Pearl Jemison, as well as a brother, James Monroe "Jimmy" Jemison.

Survivors include her husband, Buddy Adkins, of Altha, two brothers, Floyd and Gary Jemison, of Altha; five sisters, Audrey Bailey, of Tallahassee, Betty Davis, of Mobile, Alabama, Susan McCrone and husband, Billy, of Altha, Teresa Hodge and husband, Greg, of Quincy, and Angela Jemison, of Orlando; six brothers-in-law, Pete Adkins and wife, Patricia, of Sneads, Bill Adkins and wife, Diane, of Altha, George Adkins and wife, Doris, of Rocky Creek, Bobby Adkins, of Altha, Carl "Weeby" Adkins and James "Bull" Adkins, both of Altha; two sisters-in-law, Doris Freeman, of Altha, and Ann O’Bryan and husband, Jeff, of Blountstown; as well as several nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces with whom she had a very special relationship.

Memorialization was by cremation. Hall Funeral Home was in charge of these arrangements.
