OBITUARY - Ward

Mr. Raymond Randall (Ray) Ward, 68, of LaGrange, GA, passed Friday, February 15, 2013, at his home.
Ray was born on September 18, 1944, in Pensacola, FL, and had lived in LaGrange since 1986, coming from Milton, FL. He worked in construction for a number of years and was a missionary minister for over 40 years. Ray was a Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict serving in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ward, and a brother, Clayton Ward.
Survivors include a son, Gregory Dewayne Ward, and his wife, Patricia, of Valley, AL; a daughter, Judy Kay Ward, of Blountstown; six brothers, Marvin Ward of Milton, FL, Richard Ward and his wife, Betty, of Pensacola, FL, Charles Ward and his wife, Sherry, of Seneca, MO, Jim Ervin Ward and his wife, Debbie, of Avon, CT, John Ward and his wife, Rita, of Milton, FL, Billy Ward of Milton, FL; four sisters, Margie Hahun and her husband, Gene, of Hudson, FL; Carol Kimbell and her husband, Clifford, of Sevierville, TN; Katrene Turner and her husband, David, of Milton, FL; Voncille Amore’ and her husband, Joe, of Sevierville, TN; two grandchildren, Randall James Ward and Anthony Nathaniel Ward.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 19, at 12:00 pm CST at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Harold Burkett and Reverend Carlton Cain officiating. Interment will follow in Page Pond Cemetery in Altha. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 19, from 11:00 am until service time at 12:00 pm CST at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel.
