Wildcats to host Blountstown Thursday

The Altha School gym was packed Friday night for the homecoming game against the Sneads Pirates.

The Cats came out fighting, but Sneads slid past them in the fourth quarter.

“We had a great crowd,” says Coach Warren Roberts. “We played well for a little over three quarters and just had some breakdowns in the fourth quarter. But we played hard.”

The final score was 66-47. Art Platt led Altha with 16 points, followed by Kent Rogers with 14.

The Altha v. Blountstown game originally planned for Friday has been rescheduled for Thursday, Jan. 31, in the Altha gym. J.V. plays at 5:30 p.m., followed by the varsity game.
