Mrs. Shirley Janet Branton, 76, of Altha, FL, passed Tuesday night, January 15, 2013, in Tallahassee, FL.
Shirley was born in Jackson County, FL, and had lived in Calhoun County all of her life. She, along with her husband, Pete, were owners and operators of Branton’s concrete finishing business.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Clyde Earl (Pete) Branton, of Altha; one son, Johnny Branton, and his wife, Cindy, of Moultrie, GA; one daughter, Peggy Spivey, and husband, J.C., of Chipley, FL; two sisters, Helen Faye Morris and her husband, Buford, of Kynesville, FL; Carolyn Drake and her husband, Jim, of Tallahassee, FL; two grandchildren, Justin Spivey and his wife, Valerie, and Ashley Spivey; two great-grandchildren, Jacob Spivey and Liam Spivey.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 18, at 3:00 pm (CST) from the graveside at Mt. Olive Cemetery with Reverend Dallas Pettis and Greg Morris officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Altha.
