Nelmer M. Hallford of Altha, Florida, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012 in Panama City, Florida.

Nelmer was born near Youngstown, Florida, August 12, 1929, to the late William Ervin and Annie Lou (Sapp) McClain. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Living Spirit Community Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leroy Joseph Hallford; and a grandson, Ronald Lee Hallford.

Survivors include a son, Roy Lee Hallford, and his wife, Rose, of Altha; a daughter, Dorothy Adkins, and her husband, Ivey, also of Altha; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lyndall McClain and his wife, Sonya, of Altha and Collivee McClain and his wife, Joan, of Apalachicola, Florida; one sister, Lorine Clements, of Youngstown; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, at Carver Cemetery near Altha with Reverend David Garganis officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Adams Funeral Home and will then go in procession to the cemetery.
