Giving Thanks by Giving Back
Marlon and Debbie Peavy, owners of Peavy Funeral Home, Shiver’s Florist and Classic Cleaners, have started a tradition of giving thanks by giving back.
This Thanksgiving, they have donated 4000 pounds of chicken - two tons to Calhoun County and two tons to Liberty County residents - as a gift of gratitude.
“We can feed so many more families than we did with turkey,” says Marlon. Above, the Peavy family is shown with members of the Calhoun-Liberty Ministry Center who will distribute the chicken to Liberty County families.
