The Blountstown High School 2013 Project Graduation Committee is planning two spooktacular nights to get your scare on in Calhoun County!
Mark your calendars for this Thursday, October 25, from 5 to 8 p.m. when a downtown Ghost Walk will be held during the Moonlight Market in downtown Blountstown. Storytellers will take ticket holders in groups on a ghost tale stroll along Central Avenue East in downtown Blountstown. There will also be “Casper Friendly” ghost stories suitable for little ones on board the M & B Train on North Pear Street.
The ghost walk will begin in front of the Preble-Rish Gallery at the corner of North Pear and Central Avenue. Admission is a $3 donation to BHS Project Graduation. Train tales for the little ones are only a $2 donation.
The fun will continue on Saturday, Oct. 27, when members of the Paranormal Crossroads Investigations team entertain visitors at the Panhandle Pioneer Settlement in Blountstown. The team, that includes Aimee Hanvey of Calhoun County, will share supernatural experiences and demonstrate paranormal investigative techniques at some of the cabins. Exciting surprises are in store! The concession stand will be open and marshmallow roasting will be underway at the campfire.
The event is from 6 to 8 p.m. Admission is $5. The Pioneer Settlement is located inside Sam Atkins Park off SR 20 West in Blountstown. Turn next to Lindy's Fried Chicken, go to the end of the road, enter the park and follow the signs to the Settlement.
All proceeds from both events benefit the BHS Class of 2013 Project Graduation.
