On Friday, August 31, BHS Culinary and Student Government Association hosted a reception for the guests of the renaming of the BHS football stadium.
SGA members decorated the cafeteria with balloon assortments and framed photo enlargements depicting events from past events at Blountstown High.
Mrs. Samantha Taylor’s culinary classes made an immense amount of refreshments for this event which included: pickled carrots, pickled watermelon rind, and pickled okra (which Culinary will be selling throughout the year, when available); old-fashioned pimento cheese sandwiches, chicken salad croissants, and pepper-jelly glazed ham toasties; and fresh baked cookies and cupcakes.
The culinary students planned the entire menu and prepared and served the food for the dedication. The guests were delighted by the food and decoration, and a good time was had by all.
