David Brian Cornwell, 13, of Bristol, FL, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012, in Blountstown, FL.
David was born on December 19, 1998, in Sylva, NC, and had lived in Bristol for the past five years, coming from North Carolina. David was a student at Tolar Middle School in Bristol. He was a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indian Tribe. David attended Lake Mystic Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Cornwell, of Bristol; three sisters, Virginia Minyard and her husband, Aaron, Rachel Dean of Bristol, and Julia Cornwell, all of Bristol; his maternal grandfather, David A. Lewis, Jr., and maternal grandmother, Carolyn Lewis, both of Greenwood, FL; and his paternal grandmother, Inez Welch, of Cherokee, NC.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 4, at 11:00 am (EDT) at Lake Mystic Baptist Church in Bristol with Reverend Jerry Chumley officiating. Interment followed in Lake Mystic Cemetery in Bristol.
All arrangements were under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown (ph. 674-2266).
