Parking Decals
This year, Blountstown High School will be implementing the use of parking decals; any student who drives to school will be required to purchase a decal. Each student will be assigned a permanent parking spot on campus for the school year.
This new requirement has been implemented to increase the safety and security of BHS students and their personal property. The money earned from parking decals will go towards student activities. Beginning August 1, BHS students can come sign up for their parking decals. Decals can be picked up from Mrs. Brenda Burnsed or Mrs. Carmen Overholt; the cost is $10.
Students will need to bring a copy of their driver's license, proof of insurance, and license plate number; students will also need to be able to provide make, model, color, and year of the vehicle.
Senior Lunch Forms
Off-campus lunch forms will be available beginning August 1; we encourage seniors to bring in their signed lunch forms prior to the first day of school. Please see Mrs. Brenda Burnsed in the front office.
Algebra 1 Exam Retake
Algebra 1 End-of-Course Exam Retake will be administered on August 7, 2012; any student participating in retakes will be contacted with detailed information on testing.
Next ACT Set
The next ACT will be held at Blountstown High School on September 8, 2012; the registration deadline is August 17, 2012. Registration packets are not available at this time, students are encouraged to register online at www.actstudent.org.
Open House
Blountstown High School Open House will be held on August 9th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.; students can pick up their class schedules at Open House. August 14 is the first day of school for students.
