Additional arrests have been made in the Calhoun-Liberty Drug Task Force’s effort to put dealers behind bars.
As reported in last week’s edition, several were charged following undercover drug buys. Curtis Garrett, 52, and Dominique Cargile, 25, both of Blountstown, were arrested last week. They were each charged with sale of cocaine and conspiracy to sell crack form cocaine.
According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, the arrests were part of a recent “buy/walk” operation. Garrett was allegedly captured on video and audio surveillance on two occasions selling crack to a confidential source. Cargile was allegedly driving Garrett during one of the transactions. Cargile was allegedly the seller in another undercover buy a short time later.
Investigators working the case included Cpl. Eddie Dalton, Lt. Mark Mallory, and Lt. Tim Partridge.
