The Calhoun-Liberty Drug Task Force netted four arrests last week, putting alleged drug dealers behind bars.

Arrested were Rashawn D. Dawson, 19, and Nathaniel Hall, 49, both charged with sale of cocaine within 1000 ft. of a park; Joseph Daniel Baker, 53, charged with sale of marijuana within 1000 ft. of a church; and Lawrence Lorenzo Dawson, 50, charged with sale of a schedule II controlled substance (Oxycodone).

According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, the Task Force utilized confidential sources to make controlled buys on different occasions over the past few months. The transactions were captured on audio and video surveillance.

All four were booked into the Calhoun County Jail. Joseph Baker and Nathaniel Hall are both being held on $10,000 bond.

Rashawn Dawson was released after posting a $10,000 bond. Lawrence Dawson was released after posting a $1500 bond.
Additional arrests are anticipated.

Task Force members and officers working the cases included Lt. Mark Mallory, Lt. Tim Partridge, Sgt. Todd Wheetley, Ofc. Ethan Ellis, Sgt. Jared Nichols, Dep. Jody Hoagland, Capt. Michael Bryant, Dep. John Scheetz, Dep. Nate Jordan, and Lt. Eddie Dalton.
