Mabel Eileen Troyer Schlabach passed away on May 5, 2012, at her home in Greenwood DE, at the age of 75.

She was born on August 27, 1936, at Applecreek, Ohio, to the late Dan and Ella Troyer. She married Evangel Schlabach on November 17, 1956. She lived in Greenwood DE, all of her married life except from 1982 to 1997 when she and her husband resided in Blountstown, FL.

She is survived by her daughter, Doris Sommers, and her husband, Wayne, of Greenwood DE, her son, Verle Schlabach, and his wife, Sandy, of Greenwood, DE, her daughter, Melody Smith, and her husband, Paul, of Blountstown, FL, and her son, Dan Schlabach, and his wife, Yolanda, of Greenwood DE. She has 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Loyal Troyer, of Unity, WI, her brother, Larry Troyer, of Lincoln DE, and her sister, Joyce Booth, of Wooster, OH.
She was preceded in death by Evangel Schlabach, her husband of nearly 51 years, and her brothers, Owen Troyer, Verton Troyer, Ivan Troyer, and Daniel Troyer Jr., and a sister, Erma.

Calling hours will be at the Greenwood Mennonite Church, Tuesday, May 8 from 6 pm to 8 pm. A private burial service will be conducted at 2 pm on Wednesday, May 9 and a memorial service will be held at 3 pm at Greenwood Mennonite Church. John David Swartzentruber and Kevin Yoder will be officiating.

Flieschauer Funeral Home of Greenwood, DE is in charge of arrangements.
