OBITUARY - Breslin

Brooks Conway Breslin and her beloved dog, Dixie, passed away April 29, 2012.

Brooks was born on September 10, 1986, in Tallahassee, FL. She received her GED from the Leon County School System and attended and received a certificate in Forestry from Lake City Community College. Brooks inherited a strong love of forestry from her Papa Hayes and always loved being in the great outdoors. She loved the family camp on the Chipola River and the family condo on the Gulf. Friends will easily remember Brooks by her quick wit, her contagious laughter and everlasting loyalty.

She is survived by her mother, Nancy Hayes Breslin; her sister, Elizabeth; her uncle and aunt, Burke and Eva Hayes; her aunt and uncle, Brooks Anne and Kenny Meierdierks; her uncle and aunt, George and Cindy Breslin. She is also survived by her cousins, Brooks and Katie Hayes, Marianne and Philip McMillan, Charlie and Annie Meierdierks.

Brooks was preceded in death by her father, Pete Breslin, her maternal grandparents, Brooks and Nan Hayes and her paternal grandparents, George and Alma Breslin.

A celebration of Brooks’ life will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 2nd, 2012 at Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1700 N. Meridian Road, Tallahassee, FL 32303. Interment will follow at Culley’s MeadowWood Memorial Park on Timberlane Road. Family will receive friends following the burial in the MeadowWood Room of the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Brooks’ name to Tall Timbers Research Station and Land Conservatory, 13093 Henry Beadel Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32312 (893-4153) or the charity of your choice.
