Blountstown Main Street is hosting a Moonlight Market on Thursday, April 5, in downtown Blountstown, from 5 to 8 p.m. and organizers invite you to join the festivities.
Booth spaces are completely FREE and the response has been overwhelming! So far 70 vendors have signed up to participate. Organizers welcome more artists, crafters, farmers, businesses, food vendors, churches, organizations, churches, school clubs...anyone interested in setting up a space. (The only things not allowed are flea market items.)
The downtown art gallery will be open, street performers will entertain, and artists will line the sidewalks working on their masterpieces. Anyone who would like to bring their easel and paint on a piece, as well as show and sell their creations, is urged to join the artists along the sidewalks.
The food court will feature a “rustic elegance” theme with linen tablecloths and candlelight.
DJ Britt Kent will be set up playing tunes throughout the event. Storytellers will share tales at the M & B Train. Deputies, coaches and teachers are being sought for the dunking booth. The Blountstown Rotary Club will provide free rides on the club’s train.
Booths will be spread out from the greenspace next to Centennial Bank over to North Pear Street and all down the street leading the way to the M & B Train. The Depot Museum will be open to visitors.

Restaurants will be open and parking is available on every street other than North Pear. Parking accessible via Cayson Street, Magnolia Square and the city lot behind the gazebo and Bank of America.
Thunderstorms are predicted Thursday. In the event it is storming at 3 p.m., Moonlight Market will be rescheduled for Friday night, Apr. 6, same time and place.
