Another candidate stepped forward Tuesday in the Calhoun County sheriff’s race.
James “Jimmy” Baggett, who currently serves as Altha police chief, has filed his letter of intent to run for the sheriff’s post. He is running with no party affiliation (NPA).
The only other announcement in the race has been from Ken Futch, also running NPA.
No official word on whether Sheriff David Tatum plans to seek re-election.
