OBITUARY - Lowery

Eunice Lowery of Pensacola, Florida, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012, in Pensacola at the age of 92.

Eunice lived in Pensacola for 44 years and resided in Hosford, Florida, for the last six months. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Lowery; her parents, John and Zora (Phillips) Russell; her son, David Lowery; her brother, Thomas Russell; her sister, Clara Moore; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, James Lowery and his wife, Karen, of Hosford and Ben Lowery and his wife, Mary, of Pensacola; three daughters, Gwen Dick and her husband, Lester, of Mobile, Alabama, Brenda Hanselmann of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and Mary Good and her husband, Mike, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four brothers, J. W. Russell, Jr. of South Carolina, Horace Russell of Mobile, Harold Russell of Spanish Fort, Alabama, and Gene Russell of Mobile; a sister, Geraldine Whitson, of Mobile; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 20, in New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Fayette, Alabama. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Monday, March 19 at Nelson Funeral Home in Fayette, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to Covenant Hospice, 8383 North Davis Highway 3 North, Pensacola, Florida 32514 in memory of Eunice Lowery.
