Roy Pitts of Wewahitchka, FL went home to be with the Lord on February 13, 2012. Roy was born April 20, 1925 to George and Rosella Pitts of Kinard, FL. Roy was a veteran of World War II in the United States Navy.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dewey Pitts, and a daughter, Windale Laurimore.
His survivors include one son, Winiferd Pitts, of Wewahitchka; and one daughter, Charolette Hysmith, of Camden TN; his brothers, Jesssie Aaron, Barnum, Cllifford and Williard Pitts of Kinard; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Kinard Community Holiness Church at 2:00 P.M. CT Thursday, February 16, with a visitation for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Cypress Creek Cemetery, Kinard.
All services are under the direction of the Comforter Funeral Home, Wewahitchka Branch Chapel.
