OBITUARY - Whittington

Mrs. Ernie Whittington, 75, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away Saturday morning, February 4, 2012, in Blountstown, FL.

Ernie was born on October 8, 1936, in Ponce De Leon, FL, and had lived in Blountstown for the past one and a half years, coming from Tallahassee. Ernie was a waitress and a receptionist for Walmart. She was a member of Bible Believers Church in Tallahassee.

Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Mooney and her husband, Tim, of Bealton, VA, and Tammy Barrow of Tallahassee; one sister, Merle (Sutton) Pollock, and her husband, Robert, of Okeechobee, FL; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 8, at 2 pm (CST) from Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Carlton Baggett and Wayne Sutton officiating. Interment will follow in Edenfield Cemetery in Altha. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 8, from 1 pm (CST) until service time at 2 pm (CST) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel.
