NEWS ALERT - Truck Crashes Into School Bus in Blountstown

A Calhoun County school bus packed with 50 children was hit by a pickup truck in Blountstown just after 3 p.m. Tuesday.


According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Janice Young Bulzer was behind the wheel of the school bus headed north on SR 71. Just past Bob Guilford Road, she stopped to let some students out when the bus was rear-ended by a 2005 Ford F-150. Krystal Lea Yon, 17, of Kinard, was driving the truck. Fortunately, no one in either vehicle was injured.

Yon was charged with careless driving. The accident was investigated by Trooper Larry Battle.
