Mr. Edgar Gerald Griffin, age 77, of Marianna, FL passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2012 at his home. Gerald was born on February 5, 1934 in Clarksville, FL and had lived in Jackson County since 1974. He was a retired truck driver and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Gerald served in the United States Navy.

One son, Jessie Griffin of Marianna, FL
Two brothers, Burl Griffin of Sneads, FL and Cecil J. Griffin of Rudy, AR
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 22, 2012 at 2:00 pm (CST) from the graveside at Shady Grove Cemetery near Grand Ridge, FL with Reverend John Miles officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 5:00 pm (CST) until 7:00 pm (CST) at Peavy Funeral Home. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
