The community is cordially invited to participate in the 2012 MLK march. Participants will convene at Blountstown City Hall on Monday, Jan. 16, with the march starting promptly at 9 a.m.
The march will end at St. Mary M.B. Church at 16345 S.E. River Street where a program will begin at 10 a.m. Blountstown native Phillip H. Hutchinson will be the guest speaker.
A 1985 graduate of Blountstown High School, Hutchinson received his B.S. in 1990 from the University of Florida and his J.D. in 1997 from the University of Florida College of Law.
Hutchinson, 43, now resides in West Palm Beach where he is a partner at Greenberg Traurig. In addition to his primary practice, Hutchinson devotes a significant amount of time to pro bono work and other charitable activities, including the Northwest Community Consortium, the Palm Beach County Bar Association, Sojourners with Healing Hearts and Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County. He was recently appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to serve on the Fifteenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.
