Mrs. Kathy Lytle, 59, of Blountstown, passed away early Tuesday morning, December 20, 2011, at her home.

Kathy was born on December 18, 1952, in Marianna, and had lived in Calhoun County for most of her life. She was a retired Registered Nurse with 30 years of service including working at Calhoun Liberty Hospital, Florida State Hospital, Calhoun Correctional Institute, and NHC Home Health Care. Kathy was a member of the Methodist faith.

She was preceded in death by a son, Joel Lytle.

Survivors include her husband, John Lytle, of Blountstown; two sons, J.J. Lytle and Michael Lytle and his wife, Emily, of Blountstown; one daughter, Carolyn Fowler, and her husband, Kevin, of Blountstown; two brothers, Roland Preston and his wife, Ruth, of Panama City, and Donald Preston and his wife, Sandy, of Thomasville, GA; two sisters, Carlene Warren of Panama City and Jeannie Goodson of White City; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 23, at 2 pm (CST) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Odum officiating. Interment followed in the Shiloh Cemetery near Scotts Ferry.

All arrangements were under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown (ph. 674-2266).

I'm very saddened for the Lytle family. I worked with Kathy many years ago at Calhoun Liberty Hospital and she truly was one of the best. Beautiful inside and out...she will be sadly missed.
