The BMS Lady Tigers completed their bid for a third straight undefeated season last Thursday in the Panhandle Conference Championship game.

After a successful undefeated regular season the Tigers secured 1 seed in the Conference Playoffs. The Tigers played Tolar in the first round.

The Tigers were led offensively by Taylor Stalnaker with 13 pts. Also contributing was Brittney Davis (8pts), Mirazha Hogue (4pts),

Lexie DeVuyst, Bianca Martinez and Christian Ammons added 2 pts each and Morgan Weiler added 1pt. Defensively Devuyst controlled the boards with 13 rebounds. Stalnaker added 8 rebounds of her own. Martinez was all over the court and added 6 steals. The Tigers came away from the first round with a 33-6 victory and a place in the Championship game.

Earlier that evening Franklin County defeated Hosford to also move on to the Championship game and set up the third meeting of the season with the Lady Tigers.

The Lady Tigers came out ready to play and using stellar defense was able to hold the Seahawks to 0 points in the first half while putting up 20 of their own. With the trophy in sight their the Tigers never let up. They finished the game with a 42-10 victory.

Taylor Stalnaker led the way offensively with 15 pts, giving her 121 pts for the season. She was followed by Brittney Davis 11 pts (71 season), Lexie DeVuyst 7 pts (51 season), Mirazaha Hogue 6pts (38 season) and Bianca Martinez 3 pts (41 season).

The Tigers were led again in rebounds by DeVuyst who had 13 boards on the night, giving her a total of 110 for the season. Bianca Martinez continued to pick the opponents pockets as she added 4 steals to her season total of 51.

The Lady Tigers have had a wonderful season. On behalf of the Lady Tigers I would like to thank Rebecca DeVuyst and the Piggly Wiggly for the pre-game meals during playoff week. I would also like to thank all the parents for their support as they came out to support the Lady Tigers for all their game, including the long road trip to Franklin County.

The Tigers still have one more trip left to take as they will be taken to a Florida State basketball game on Dec. 19th to reward them for all their hard work.

Again Congratulations Lady Tigers....GO TIGERS!!
