CITY OF BLOUNTSTOWN
Public Notice

The City of Blountstown’s Electrical System Upgrade Project has started. This $1.8 million project ($1 million grant funded) will involve work along the following streets: River Street, Mayhaw Avenue, Boyd Street, Azalea Avenue and across to SR 71, SR 71 from Gaskin Street South to Calhoun Correctional Institution, Gaskin Street, Main Street South, Charlie Johns Street from SR 20 to Angle Street, Jane Street, Marie Avenue, Margaret Street, Hentz Avenue, Church Street including Bridges Street and Lambert Avenue, as well as Pear Street North of the SR 71 interconnection to Finlay Avenue, and Kelly Avenue.

The work will include tree trimming and some tree removal, as well as many new poles and new wiring (new conductors). The work will be preceded by many new red or orange stakes and or markings on the ground.
