Mr. C. L. Capps, 74, of Blountstown, FL, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011, in South Carolina.

C. L. was born on October 8, 1937, in Calhoun County and had lived here all of his life. He was a retired well driller and worked at St. Joe Paper Company for several years. He was a member of Dixie Lodge #109 F&AM in Blountstown and was of the Baptist Faith.

C. L. was preceded in death by his son, C. L. Capps, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Capps, of Blountstown; two daughters, Cindy Lollie and her husband, Terry, and Tammy Waldron and her husband, Bob, all of Blountstown; five grandchildren, Cal Hayes and his wife, Casey, Jarrod Waldron, Clarissa Cooper and her husband, Daniel, Ceairra Capps, all of Blountstown, and Corey Capps and his wife, Taylor, of Bristol, FL; three great-grandchildren, Rosa Bryanne Waldron and Avery Grace Cooper, both of Blountstown, and Kylynn Capps of Bristol.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 9, at 10 am (CST) at the First Baptist Church in Blountstown with Reverend David Goodman and Ben Yoder officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 8, from 6 until 8 pm (CT) at Peavy Funeral Home.

All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown (ph. 674-2266).

I am sorry for your loss, your husband did two wells for me when I lived in Calhoun County and was a great man.
