Mr. Vernon L. Reynolds, 91, of Blountstown, FL passed away Monday, October 31, 2011, in Blountstown.
Vernon was born on January 24, 1920, in Texas and had lived in Blountstown since 2004, coming from Orangeville, CA. He was a retired state park ranger and was owner of his own dry cleaners in Sacramento, CA. Vernon served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge Concord Lodge #117 in Sacramento, a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and was a Shriner with Ben Ali Temple, Sacramento. Vernon was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Blountstown.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Reynolds, of Blountstown, FL; four nephews, Larry Reynolds and Robert Reynolds, both of Sacramento, CA, Ed Peters and Dennis Peters, both of California; two nieces, Nancy Reynolds of Sacramento, CA and Cathy Lee of California; sisters-in-Law, Jeanette Bailey of Blountstown and Ann Herndon of Tallahassee; several other nieces and nephews in Florida and California, and a loving church family.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, November 3, at 11 (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Lewis Bullard officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation.
